If the Brewers sweep the Rays, there needs to be serious conversation about this being one of the best single season teams of the 21st Century, as they have been dominant, 3-1 in NLDS, 4-0 in NLCS, and one win from 4-0 in WS after a 10-1 win, and 103-59 for the Regular Season. What do yall think?

No question. They beat a hell or a dodgers team and made it look breezy. All time team.

Probably the hardest possible road in the playoffs too

The announcers tonight were saying something like if the Brewers win tomorrow they would have the best postseason record in history.

Didn’t the 2005 White Sox also go 11-1?

They did 3-0 ALDS(beat Champs redsox), 4-1 ALCS(beat angels), 4-0 WS(Beat Astros) they had a 99-63 regular season record.
1999 Yankees also went 11-1
These are the best records since the expansion of post season format.

That's what it was. Tied for best.
And I think they said the Brewers would be the only team to ever sweep a seven game world series?

Not the only team to sweep a 7 game World Series, that’s happened plenty of times. The only team to sweep a 7 game championship series and sweep a 7 game World Series (the only-ever sweep of both was the 1976 Cincinnati reds, and they swept a 5 game championship series, not a 7 game)

Tied for best. But most wins in a row
16. u/Br3w_Crew · 2026-10-27 05:03 UTC
They would be the first team to sweep both the CS and WS since the CS changed to a best of 7 format. Tim Kurkjian said something similar on Baseball Tonight,

Yep, when the Yankees 1999 and White Sox 2005 went 11-1 they both dropped 1 game in their CS games.

Some are calling tomorrow night a must-win game for Tampa

personally I think I'd rather be eaten head first but I might struggle a little if I had an audience.
