Shocking. Not that he did a bad job, but they only gave him a 1 year contract going into a lockout so it's hard to believe that this wasn't the plan from the get-go. How are you supposed to win anything with that roster.

The manager wasn't the problem
This issue is that the angels have been JUST the Mike Trout (and Shohei) show for a over a decade and Trout is 1/9 of a lineup

Shock me. We all know this was an iffy hire by Arte Moreno and a GM on a short string. New ownership and Mozeliak running the show, they'll look for a more realistic manager.

Why aren't pitching coaches made managers? There's probably a good reason. I won't mention who I think would make a sneaky great manager.
