Took my 1967 film camera to game 1 of the World Series

posted by u/lpen-z · 2026-10-27 21:07 UTC
I develop black and white film myself so I got the results quickly (kind of). I shot two rolls of color and one of slide film which I'll get back in a week or two. These were taken on my 1967 Mamiya Super 23 on Kentmere Pan 400. It produces incredible 6x9 negatives (massive) and thus I can get scans up to 7,000x10,000 pixels. I have a 24"x36" print on order and can't wait for it to arrive.

Yeah, that's cool and all, but you're going to be missing a lot of detail compared to 8"x10". Personally, I don't leave the house without a monorail. /s

Do you think they'll let me in with this?

Depends on the ticket person. Either they had one or have no clue what that is, no in-between

I took my large format camera to a racetrack, and got garage access at almost every pit stall.
Take your large format cameras out. It will open doors.

You, in a Gilded Age suit, unblinking, with a wide grin: "Oh, this box, Mr. Security Man? This is where I keep the memories of those whom I've...captured. Forever and ever."
Security: "Yeah, whatever dude, as long as it doesn't have any outside bottles of water. Enjoy the game."

Dude I would have worn a polka dot dress and rolled my bangs to make these look even more authentic.

Love this, old cameras deserve to be used as cameras and not just shelf decoration
