The Rays are just the fifth of 26 teams down 3-0 in the World Series to force a game 5. None of the teams forced a game 6.

This really puts into perspective how unlikely it is to complete a reverse sweep. Forget forcing a game 7 or much less coming back all the way, no one ever even gotten to game 6 after going down 3-0 in the World Series.
As a Yankee fan, it makes me extra angry because we were so close to doing it in 2024 before the team absolutely IMPLODED, lol. I can't remember if I knew that no team had forced a game 6 before we played. I am surprised that stat wasn't everywhere - that no one had forced a game 6 after going down 3-0 in the WS (out of 24 at the time before Yankees lost game 5). Maybe it was and I just had tunnel vision.
Coming back down 3-1 is the ultimate comeback test in sports that is extremely difficult to complete. That is because coming back down 3-0 is pretty much impossible. It has never been done in the NBA, and has only happened once in the MLB (2004 ALCS, Red Sox over Yankees), and 4 times in the NHL (just once in Stanley Cup).
How many games do you guys think this series goes? I'm hoping we get a series and the Rays make it back to Milwaukee, making history as the first team to force a game 6.

There will always be a first.

Yeah, like this is probably what the Red Sox got told in ‘04, but they did it anyway
There’s so much that hasn’t been done yet in baseball

But, there is also so much that will never be done. I'm not saying this is one of those things though.

Agreed nobody coming back after being down 4-0

Unless they have 9 games series

Kevin Millar famously said " We got them right where we want them!" After game 3 in 2004.

Brewers literally did a bullpen game and almost won. It's a gentleman sweep and it's over tonight.
....
then again it is the damn Rays and their devil magic just somehow won game four.

Except the 12th inning where they had the lead but failed to get a single out

Looked like their pitcher just gave up and threw bp until it was over

Plus factor in two huge calls against the brewers, one messing to a run and one sending to extra innings.

In 2004 a team had never come back from 3-0 in any playoff series. The Yankee blew them out in game 3. Red Sox won game 4 in 12 innings. Just sayin, there is always a first time

Guess the Rays are just going to have to win the whole series in Game 5 then.

Why not us?

Honestly, no reason. Rays are a great team.
Biggest hurdle is getting by Misiorowski tonight. You do that, I'd get really nervous as a Brewers fan.

As a Razorback fan that lived through the 2018 nuclear implosion, never say never. I saw defeat in lots of Brewers players, you just never know.

Probably just tired after playing 12 innings.
If I was a Brewers fan I wouldn’t get concerned unless this gets to game seven.

Oh if they lose tonight that’ll be a LONG off day
