Question for non-WS team markets
posted by u/seyheystretch · 2026-10-22 18:44 UTC
Does the presence of these two teams (Brewers and Rays) playing in the WS make you more, less or no difference in your desire to watch this series? Since this is the MLB sub I'm figuring the majority here will watch. How about the casual fans that you know?

I personally find a series like this more interesting than say LA vs NYY.

Fox is going to have a hell of a time figuring out how to glaze Ohtani and Judge despite their absence.

These are the two teams that knocked out the Yankees and Dodgers, they'll find a way to bring them up constantly.

Their announcers are the worst

Totally, they were each the best in their league

Same. I may watch, or at least keep an eye on the score

more interested than some, less interested than others. but it will be fun to watch someone win their first WS.

This is my take too. It was magic when my team won its first WS in 2001, and I'm eager to see another fan base experience that.

that World Series had to be a fun watch even if you had no horse in the race. it ended in heartbreak for me, but the drama of the series was undeniable

That's my take too. I know the Brewers are a divisonal rival but I'll still take them winning a WS over the Dodgers or Yankees any day.

I will pay the exact amount of attention I would have if it was dodgers yankees.
The WS is cool and I'll watch games if I can, I'm not going to go out of my way to make plans to watch it at a bar or something.
