Bradley was definitely a head case but the words made sense. Take Peralta as an example, the change of scenery to a better atmosphere made a world of a difference. We can choose to believe Stearns lied, but his words about Peralta were “We were unable to get him to do what Tampa through their processes has been able to get him to. I think the goals were the same. We just couldn’t quite get him over the hump.”

Peralta himself said he felt “different” in his new clubhouse. There’s your better source.
