A new Avengers: Doomsday promo dropped during Game 1 of the MLB World Series.

The footage previewed the impending multiversal cataclysm coming to theaters this December… in a special baseball-centric way.

Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor von Doom puts his powers on full display.

Doomsday is near… and it's already on the diamond.

Marvel took advantage of the MLB World Series to drop a new Avengers: Doomsday preview during Friday's Game 1, between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays. The promo was made especially for the game, and featured Marvel characters taking to the field. Some other familiar faces to baseball fans made appearances, too. Watch below.

Directed by returning Marvel filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday sees heroes from three distinct realities collide as they all face an immense threat posed by Doctor Doom ( Robert Downey Jr. ). Plot details have been sprinkled throughout various trailers and bonus scenes included in the Avengers Endgame: Encore theatrical release .

Doom hails from the universe containing the Fantastic Four. Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) explains how the man known as Victor von Doom "used to be kind" and "caring" before "everything he loved was taken from him," alluding to the deaths of his wife and son.

New post-credits scenes from the Endgame re-release tease that Doom could be attacking the Marvel multiverse itself by causing different realities to collide into each other.

The immense cast (with more still to be confirmed) will include Patrick Stewart (Professor Charles Xavier), Ian McKellen (Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto), James Marsden (Scott Summers/Cyclops), Rebecca Romijn (Raven Darkhölme/Mystique), Alan Cumming (Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler), and Kelsey Grammer (Hank McCoy/Beast) reprising their roles from the original live-action X-Men films of the aughts.

The film will see these characters mingle — and fight — with those from the Avengers and Fantastic Four universes. Repping the latter are Kirby (Sue Storm), Pedro Pascal (Reed Richard/Mr. Fantastic), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing).

Marvel vets Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/the new Captain America), and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/the Winter Soldier) will also feature.

Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (John Walker/U.S. Agent), Lewis Pullman (Bob/Sentry), and Hannah John-Kamen (Ava Starr/Ghost) will rep the Thunderbolts* cast.

From the Wakanda/Talokan neck of the woods are Letitia Wright (Shuri/Black Panther), Winston Duke (M'Baku), Tenoch Huerta Mejia (Namor the Submariner), Alex Livinalli (Attuma), and Mabel Cadena (Namora).

Also confirmed are Channing Tatum (Gambit), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Kathryn Newton (Cassie Lang), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres/the new Falcon), and Wesley Holloway (undisclosed role).

Avengers: Doomsday premieres in theaters this Dec. 18.
