I feel like something switched the last 3ish years. I've been watching prices for championship games among the three big sports and all the sudden it feels like going has become out of reach for the average fan

My uncle said the same thing when the Ravens blew the doors off the Giants 26 years ago
Seriously though it’s been a lot of droughts broken recently. The Knicks run was a perfect storm of a half century wait + entire huge city being a Knicks fan (sorry Nets) vs the other sports where the city is more divided by two or even three teams
Milwaukee a smaller city obviously but they also only have two teams (sorry packers) in four sports so I’d imagine it’s a lot of people who did not splurge for Bucks championship tickets 5 years ago but then said “if the Brewers ever make it though….”
Similar story to Seahawks and eagles fans seeing their first ring. However, the eagles-chiefs two years ago I remember the tickets were not record-setting, because of their own fans already seeing recent multiple Super Bowl appearances

Milwaukee is an official Packers home market though. There's even a "Milwaukee" season ticket package.
But everything else is spot on.

Oh of course I just feel like the Packers winning in 2010, and not being literally in the city, makes the Brewers winning more special in Milwaukee. Could’ve worded that part better

Absolutely. When the Bucks won in '21 the city went nuts.
If the Brewers can pull this off, Milwaukee might break loose and ascend to the heavens.

My old apartment was in a busy bar area directly near the stadium, it was always crazy busy any day the Brewers were playing at home. The night the Bucks won was the wildest I'd ever seen it around there.
I can't even imagine the energy around my old stomping grounds if they can pull this off, it would be a hell of a night to be cooped up in my cozy old place listening to everyone celebrating at the bars directly outside.
Good memories.. I miss my old place.

Also the NFL the Super Bowl isn’t usually in the home city of one of the teams so it requires travel.

I honestly want to throw the commercial success of the Brewers at whatever NHL execs say that Milwaukee and Wisconsin isn’t a strong enough market to support a hockey team.

They don't get a team because the hawks claim mke as their own market

And then don't broadcast games up here which is the biggest reason why I'm not a Hawks fan

I’ll never cheer for a team whose victory would make Bears fans happy

I feel you I was leaning towards the brewers winning ws leading up to yesterday because you know Midwest and the cultures are close enough etc.. then miz came out dealing and I was like fuck this team and fuck this town lmfao

That’s the true Cubs fan mantra I expect to see lol

I’ve always thought it strange that Wisconsin didn’t have a NHL team. Biggest city doesn’t matter if people don’t care like Phoenix and Atlanta.

What’s crazy is I spent around $350 for a decent ticket to the NBA finals in Milwaukee a few years ago and expected the World Series to be similar but I can’t even sniff standing room for 1k basically

Indiana v Miami for NCAA Football

That’s a very good one

My friend was able to grab two tickets for Game 6 in 2021 for the Bucks. He offered one to me for face value and I felt it was over priced then. I was like if the Brewers are ever in the World Series I wouldn't make the same mistake. Until I saw even the face value of the tickets.
