Someone has to win the first game. Its a long series

I hear it’s only gonna be 4 games.

Yes but one team is much better, even just on a vibe level so cope how you need to but know this is the denial stage. Take receipts. Rays are losing this series for sure

This is going to be the most stressful 9 days of my life. Im not even sure I am enjoying it.

Baseball is so crazy because if you’re not one of the few teams that advance in the playoffs you’re miserable and feel hopeless but if you’re in that select group you’re just completely overwhelmed with anxiety which converts to pain for all but one team

It’s very odd. Do recent dodgers fans feel anxiety every World Series? Or the Yankees when they won 3 in a row?

I’m sure it takes a ton of the stress out. I mean the Phillies have only won once in my life and that doesn’t even approach the runway of pain the cubs had to endure before they got theirs, so I’m sure that it’s a wildly different experience for teams that win in such close proximity.

As a Dodgers fan…yes. When you love your team you love em. Part of me is glad they aren’t in it this year. My personal life is stressful enough these days. Not having WS stress on top of everything else is actually kind of nice. Lol. I can just sit back and enjoy the games.

Yeah this is true, the pain intensifies so much the closer you get and as a brewer fan fear we may never be this close again.

I made myself actually sick in 2016

During the rain delay in game 7 I drank half a bottle of tequila in the form of lick it slam it suck it shots without realizing it and I am not usually a big drinker. The day after was ROUGH.
Totally worth it, though. 😄

I lived a few blocks from Wrigley back then I went to the Jewel Osco on Broadway to get some groceries during the rain delay, the amount of people trying to run through and buy beer or liquor was crazy lol

Literally just biked past that Jewel ten minutes ago - feels like such a small world to hop on Reddit and see a stranger talking about it immediately afterwards.
