What's an MLB take about your team that may get you attacked by your own fanbase?

Here's mine - Grady Little absolutely made the right call to leave Pedro rolling in the 8th, in G7 of 2003 against the Yankees. He was THE Pedro Martinez (not just an ordinary guy)- coming off another year leading the majors in ERA, almost winning Cy Young (realistically, should have won it).

Chicago is a world class city.

I’ve experienced the same. I love to hate the Cubs and Bears, but I’ve never had issues in Chicago. Great city, tons to do, expensive, and traffic sucks.

Great city, tons to do, expensive, and traffic sucks.
Unfortunately a universal constant in the US.

Not just America either. I haven’t been to a ton of places that are considered like top 20 cities of the world, but the three or four I have been to outside of the US were great cities with tons to do, expensive, and the traffic sucked-
It’s just for that last one you have better alternatives (although once you’re in Chicago it’s very easy to get around in the CTA bubble) in most of them because they were plotted out prior to automobiles.

Chicago is a very nice city

Yeah, Chicago is one of my favorite cities and sometimes I even think about moving back.
I just hate their sports teams (The White Sox are okay).

The “Best fans in baseball” schtick is embarrassing.
14. u/R_Hunt · 2026-10-31 04:52 UTC
Is that extra relative to your fanbase, or is that a general critique of every fanbase? 😆

The former. As in marketing has been done with it by the Cardinals with social media. I’m not suggesting we have bad fans but it’s needlessly pretentious posturing, and disrespectful of other clubs and fans. The Cardinals fans who eat that crap up probably couldn’t tell me who Ducky Medwick is

Pete Rose deserved everything he got for gambling on baseball.

And for being a sleezebag.

As a fellow die hard Reds fan who grew up idolizing the Great 8, I wholeheartedly agree.

Sal Frelick is the worst outfielder on the Brewers roster, but that just speaks volumes about our depth/skill in the outfield, not a dig at Sal at all.

You shut your whore mouth.
I mean, you're right. But God dammit I love Sal
